Its primary responsibility is to prevent another devastating war. Leadership changes every two years, based on the outcome of the only competitive outlet the survivors can agree on: a worldwide soccer tournament. 

Rematch, Book 2: After a heartbreaking loss in the 2044 World Cup, the Alaska national soccer team has a shot at redemption. With Jason on the run and Nate imprisoned, Cassie and Reed have to take matters into their own hands and bring the team back together.

Decades after a nuclear war destroys much of the planet and the government is forced to change, brothers Jason and Nate decide to switch places near the end of the big soccer tournament so Jason can take their family to Canada. Nate has a lot of pressure on himself that game because if they lose, their family will be killed by the president. The game does not end well.
