Olivet Trickett has a normal life, or as normal as life can be for an orphan. He lives in an orphanage run by Gregor Snifflout. But when Oliver's class takes a trip to the museum, he meets a certain archeologist named Tim and his life takes a turn for the peculiar. They find an orb that talks, potions that cause things to shrink, or other things to disappear and they learn that Oliver can turn invisible. Along the way they meet a young girl named Bell, and together they discover the Noble Kingdom. Meanwhile, Gregor and his younger brother Vikram will do anything to stop them.
Opinion:
This book was very confusing. The author spends the first two-thirds of the book telling you nothing except that they go to a museum, the kids are unruly, and their teacher acts like a two-year-old. So shortly after, when you reach the climax, not much makes sense. The idea of an alternate magical universe is enticing, I''ll admit, but the presentation was very poor. I wouldn''t recommend this to anyone though.
