Meriel Owen is next in line to control the Owen Clan: the largest organization of witches in the country. She is asked to investigate the owner of a club that has been stealing magic from the font of the clan and when she arrives she instantly connects with Dominic Bright. When they share their magic, Meriel realizes that he is her bond-mate. Raised as an outclan, Dominic doesn't trust council members and is shocked when he learns he is one. Afraid he will doubt their connection, Meriel decides to take things slow. But their new relationship is not the deadliest thing going on. Witches are being drained of their magic and Domiinic's birth mother, a turned witch, is at the heart of it. Now, Meriel must protect her clan and the man she loves from a deadly opponent.
Opinion:
I liked the authors writing in this book. I found myself liking the characters and thinking that they were funny. I found the story interesting and I really liked the ending. The setting was sometimes hard to understand and for readers that are slow about putting two and two together it may be difficult but if your a quick reader and have lots of experience you will be able to understand it. The tone of the book was mysterious but had some romance in it. I would recommend this book to others that are good readers.
