Meriel Owen is next in line to control the Owen Clan: the largest organization of witches in the country. She is asked to investigate the owner of a club that has been stealing magic from the font of the clan and when she arrives she instantly connects with Dominic Bright. When they share their magic, Meriel realizes that he is her bond-mate. Raised as an outclan, Dominic doesn't trust council members and is shocked when he learns he is one. Afraid he will doubt their connection, Meriel decides to take things slow. But their new relationship is not the deadliest thing going on.
