Into Thin Air is a powerful, moving account of an ill-fated ascent of Mount Everest in 1996 from the eyes of Jon Krakauer, who was on one of the expeditions.

Opinion:

Krakauer moves through the whole experience, giving the reader an excellent idea of the difficulties and challenges faced by the team.  I found this book extremely interesting and a fast-read.  You almost feel like you are with the team as they climb Mt. Everest and then fight for survival.  This book has become a classic and stands as a story about man against nature in on eof the toughest places on earth.
