In the book, They Stood Alone!, it tells the stories of many inspiring people. People who faced oppression and conflict but were able to overcome it. Some of these stories include the people, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Galileo, and even Gandhi. For each person it gives their experiences, difficulties, and what we can take away from them. This book was made to both enlighten, and inspire people to do their hardest despite what others may think at the time.

Opinion:

Though this book is mainly to be used as a teaching or instruction aid, I thought it was pretty interesting. As a read for fun, I constantly had to force myself to read it, but it taught me a lot about people I thought I knew. I think this book would be great to teach kids about virtues and to inspire them to never give up. You could even use it for a research project, but probably not much more. They Stood Alone! was very instructive and inspiring.
