The Vampire Diaries Stefan Diaries Origin takes place in Mystic Falls, Virginia during the Civil War in the year 1864. Seventeen year old Stefan Salvatore is engaged to Rosalyn a girl whom he is not in love with. Stefan and his best friend Damon are inseparable until they meet Katherine, a girl who has come to live with them. They both fall in love with the stunning, mysterious, seductive, and beautiful Katherine and are rivals for her affection. However, Katherine harbors a secret. She is a vampire. With the arrival of Katherine there have been strange killings going on and Stefans father is determined to stop them by creating a group with the Founders that will try to find the vampires and kill them. Stefan and Damon are now rivals trying to compete for the affection of Katherine. What will Stefan discover about Katherine? Will Stefan and Damon be rivals for eternity? Who will end up with Katherine? And will the Founders find the vampires and kill them?

Opinion:

The Vampire Diaries Stefan Diaries Origin is a fantasy book filled with intense moments. As I read it, I couldnt put the book down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. I liked that Stefan was sometimes wondering if the Founders were the enemy or was the enemy Katherine. Every time I read, it I pictured myself in Mystic Falls as someone who didnt exist but saw everything that happened. Telling the story in first person was good idea because it leaves a mystery about how the other characters feel. If it was in third person, you would probably know the end before you finished reading. I would recommend this book because it is fascinating and youll just find yourself daydreaming while reading.
