This book tells the unforgetable story of the Lewis and Clark expedition through the eyes of Sacagawea.  Sacagawea became very important to the success of the exploration and her story gives insight into what it must have been like for her as a Native American traveling with Lewis, Clark, and their team.   Her eventual trip to England was also an eye-opening experience for her.  Streams to the River, River to the Sea is a historical fiction written for young adults to give an appreciation not only of the courage of the Lewis and Clark expedition, but to help readers understand about the Native Americans who were already living in the West at that time.
