During the day, Lucien battles cancer in his modern, normal life. But at night, he becomes a Stravagante, a time-traveler of sorts who finds himself in Belleza, a city parallel to old Venice.

Opinion:

Stravaganza is an imaginary adventure of time travel set in a wonderful city, Venice.  The author does a great job of tranporting you back in time to old Venice with it's parties and frivolities away from Lucien's modern day worries about his cancer.  I think people who like reading time travel stories and enjoy learning some history at the same time, will like this book.
