Vampires don't really do much of anything considering they have to give up fanging people. They must join a support group and reform their ways lest they want to risk being staked. Yet when a member of the support group is destroyed by a silver bullet, a mystery ensues taking Nina and other group members out of the gloomy monotony of their lives and into the sun.
Opinion:
The combining of vampires and werewolves was brilliant although the relationship could have been more developed. There was a sense of blandness to the novel meaning it was just a story and it never produced that "wow" factor. Catherine Jinks has written a great leisure book with humor and interesting characters but the plot had a sense of the familiar. If the book had focused more on the dynamics of the support group instead of leaving it more in the background, perhaps the story would have gone in a more captivating direction.
