LitPick Review
Belladonna Johnson can see ghosts. It's a trait she picked up from her mother's side. Her parents died in a car crash, but fortunately, they still live with her as ghosts. One evening, her parents disappear along with all of the other ghosts. Her dad had said that the doors were closing. The world felt empty without the ghosts. She learned that ghosts sent them dreams and prevented accidents. Her and this rotten but very smart kid named Steve go through a red door with the number 73 on it. This is the door to the other side. They find Elsie there, a ghost that haunts Belladonna's school, and go on a journey to save all nine worlds. In this journey, they encounter many strange things.
Opinion:
In my opinion there were too many weird things and names to keep track of. I would have liked it a lot better if it was written in first person. The plot is very good, but if Helen would've eliminated some of the weird stuff, it would have been better. I think Belladonna and Steve should've kissed at the end after all they had been through together. My overall opinion of this book is that it is very good.
