As a junior in high school, and the best girl snowboarder, Hayden feels sparks from her ex-boyfriend Nick. They haven't dated since the seventh grade, but Nick, "a model perfect guy", wants Hayden back. Years ago, when Hayden moved from Tennessee, she went snowboarding and broke her leg. Now she is terribly afraid of heights. Even though she is afraid, she still competes in snowboarding, as long as there are no jumps. With help from her twerp brother, Josh, she wins the girls' division snowboarding competition. After the competition, at her celebration, she meets up with Nick in the sauna. Nick challenges her to a snowboarding competition...with a jump, I might add. The guys are rooting for Nick and the girls for Hayden. The winner will determine who has to buy the tickets to the Valentine's Dance. The game is on! Will Hayden get over her fear in time for the big competition? Read the book to find out.

Opinion:

This book was very interesting. I am very athletic, so my favorite part was the snowboarding competitions. I love competeing! I had no clue what was coming up when I heard of Hayden's fear. Especially when she was going to have a competition where she had to face her fear of heights! I would advise that only mature readers read this book. The vocabulary is inappropriate for young readers. Hopefully, all of you mature readers will get a chance to read this great book!
