LitPick Review
"Rage: A Love Story" by Julie Anne Peters is a shocking book about lesbians. One lesbian girls fantasizes about another. When they finally do interact, she turns her dream girl gay. However, abuse begins to form in their relationship. Peters also elaborates on each girl's family and their troubles therein. In the end, both girls come to an agreement with their relationship and uncover startling truths about each other.
Opinion:
This book is sexual to the point of disgust. Young readers, especially girls, do not need to read about raunchy girl-on-girl details. Readers interested in learning more about domestic abuse are better off picking up another book that focuses more on physical and psychological abuse, not sinful fantasies and graphic abuse. Overall, for a hit or miss, this book is a miss when it comes to teen relationships suitable for young ones to read about.
