LitPick Review
Keysha and Wesley had a lot in common; they both were in deep trouble. Keysha was the new girl trying to fit in and ended up in the wrong crowd. Wesley was the bad boy who turned his life around. When Keysha is framed with drugs in her locker, the school's reputation is damaged and people turn against her.
Keysha falls for Wesley's charms after he defends her from the rumors and getting beat up. Wesley finds a way to clear Keysha's name but must risk everything to do it. Keysha must depend on her hero, and Wesley must act like someone he's not in order for his plan to work.
Opinion:
If You were My Boyfriend, by Earl Sewell is a romantic drama filled with twists, turns and an unlikely ending. I loved this book and I couldn't put it down. The author did such a great job of revealing how the characters really felt. I hope that Earl Sewell will write a sequel to answer my nagging questions. Where will Keysha live now? Is Wesley's dad alright? And what is going to happen to Wesley's mom?
