LitPick Review
In the previous book, Alex Rider, a teenage spy working for MI6, meets Yassen Gregorivich, a hired killer, who says to Alex that he knew his father and he should go to Venice and find Scorpia- it was his destiny. Alex travels to Venice, to find the truth about his parents, who died when he was just a baby. He finds out that his father was an assasin employed by a major criminal, known as Scorpia. Scorpia recruit Alex as an assasin for them, but he still does not know the truth about his parents. The ending of the book is action-packed and the resolution is totaly unexpected, with a extremely dramatic ending.
Opinion:
I found, that as an avid follower of the Alex Rider series, I was not dissapointed by this book. I found myself hooked on the book, and would absoloutly call this book a page-turner. While reading, I was on the edge of my seat (in a matter of speech), not knowing how Alex Rider would get himself out of, yet another, horrible mess. The ending is very dramatic, and I was happy to hear that Anthony Horrowitz had written another book. A great addition to the series, and I highly suggest reading it!
