A lonely boarding school boy named Simon has seen some pretty weird stuff lately, like swarms of beetles surrounding him. But nothing is as weird as what next happens. Simon gets taken away by a mysterious horse rider, Aldric, who says he is Simon's father. He also says that Simon has to help him fight all of the dragons that are still alive and still hate humans. Simon's dad tells Simon that dragons are disguised as humans and are usually the cause for a lot of misfortune. Only Simon and Aldric are able to see through the magical disguise. Simon soon finds himself staring at a white dragon, and he is completely in a trance. Aldric and Simon ultimately defeat the white dragon and Aldric thinks that that was the last dragon on earth. However, they find a token of friendship from another dragon, which proves to them that there are still more dragons left. Simon and his dad have to find the "White Book of Saint George", so that they can defeat the other dragons with a deathspell found in the book. After they find the book, Simon and Aldric try to defeat the rest of the dragons. Simon and Aldric soon find out that the white dragon is still alive, and he is planning to summon the Saint of Dragons, to make all of the dragons live in harmony and unite agaianst the humans. If this happens the force of the dragons will be indestructable. Will Simon and Aldric be able to stop the summoning of the Saint of Dragons and destroy the evil dragons?

Opinion:

I thought that the book had a great plot and sequence of events. But, I did not think that the book was very authentic and real. The characters' actions and feelings did not seem right at times. For example, Simon seemed too calm and unexcited when Aldric was saying about dragons and how they have to stop them. At other times, though, I kept on wantng to read because it was so exciting and tense. I also thought that it was extremely similiar to King Arthur, because of the presence of sorcerers, knights in shining armor, and dragons.
