Rascal: A Dog and his Boy by Ken Wells is a story about a dog who wants a boy. Rascal is a beagle pup who lives on Nonc Noon's farm. He lost his mother because she chased a sugarcane truck. This little dog finds the perfect owner one day, the boy's name is Meely. They loved to hunt in the woods together most afternoons, but one morning Meely gets his leg stuck in a wooden bridge. It's all up to Rascal to get some help; will he save him in time?
