Princess Alera must choose a man to marry before her eighteenth birthday. As much as she would like to believe that it's her decision, her father, the King of Hytanica has already selected the man to succeed him and take the throne. Much to her dismay, Alera must put up with the arrogant Lord Steldor while she keeps her real feelings for the new boy Narian a secret. Alera knows she would fail her family and the kingdom if she was to choose the Cokyri boy from the enemy nation over her charming fiancé to be.
