In "Hurricane Mia" by Donna Marie Seim, Mia's whole summer is trashed. First, her family discovers that her mom is very sick. Next, Mia and Jack, her little brother, are sent to their grandparent's house on a little island in the Caribbean. Mia is very upset-that is, until she meets Neisha, a girl who lives on the island. Neisha tells Mia about "the tea that cures everything," and Mia wants to find it to cure her mom from her disease. But will it be enough to save Mia and Jack's mom and save them from a summer of misery?
