Demon Princess: Reign Check is the sequel to Demon Princess: Reign or Shine. The protagonist, Nikki, recently found out that she is a darkling or half demon. She finds out that she is not only half demon, but she is also a demon princess. In the second book of the series Nikki goes back to school and has to deal with the standard high school drama of friends, crushes and jealousy. On top of all of that, Nikki must deal with the fact that she is forbidden by demon law to date her shadow servant Michael even though she really wants to.
