This story is about a southern belle named Desiree Bordeaux, a beautiful Creole living in the year 1846. She is wooed by the evil Philippe Jaunet, a cruel and mean man who only wants her grandfather's plantation, Chene Vue. When she meets the handsome American, Lance Van Buren -who falls deeply in love with Desiree- her life, definitely takes a twist. When her grandfather dies, someone needs to take over Chene Vue, and whoever takes the farm, takes charge of Desiree, too.
