The Accidental Siren by Jake Vander Ark is a coming-of-age story about young love and growing up. This book follows a pudgy, twelve-year-old aspiring director named James, who just doesn’t understand the big deal about girls. Then he meets the perfect Mara Lynn that everybody instantly likes. When Mara comes into James’s life, his ordinary summer that only consisted of movie making with his best friend Whit, becomes anything but ordinary. Is it possible that the perfect Mara Lynn may not be as flawless as she seems?
