Joe Ledger, a leader of the Echo Team for the DMS (Department of Military Service), was a cop but is now a hero. Joe is in charge of a group of four other fighters who all had to go on their first mission after only one day of training. The Echo Team fights infected "dead" people called walkers. Walkers are dead, zombie-like creatures who feed on living flesh. On the Echo Team's first mission, they arrived at an old meat packing plant in Delaware. There they fought many walkers and left the plant deserted.
After a long summer at camp, Laura arrives home with one mission: becoming a Deb. There was only one problem, Jo Lynn Bidwell will do anything to stop Laura. With her friends on her side, she also has a back up gift that will only help her, Laura's best friends step-mom is on the Glass Slipper Club. The Glass Slipper Club chooses the Debs to move on to become Glass Slipper Debutantes. As the rivalry with Jo Lynn continues, Laura realizes who she really is.
When Kate and her crush, Aaron, find clue after clue that some type of drug is affecting the football team, they work together to uncover the truth. Coming to the conclusion that the football coach is giving most of his team steroids, Kate tries to come up with a cure. In the mean time, students are disappearing, loosing limbs, and becoming flesh-eating zombies. Unfortunately, no one knows how to stop it, until Kate realizes she has been bitten but there is no side effects. Her seizure medicine prevented her from turning into a zombie.
Luke was locked in a room full of caskets one day while his mother was gone. His stepfather Sal, didn't understand why it was such a bad thing to do but Luke's mom thought differently. The family ran a funeral home. Luke's mother was a cosmetician and Sal prepared the bodies. Luke's mother was always the last to touch the bodies and had said the last person to care for them became who the protected. Therefore Luke always thought his mom had many protectors.
On Sienna's 15th birthday she receives a plane ticket to Indonesia. Something she didn't want after her mom died in a plane crash over the Indian Ocean. Sienna reluctantly accepts and agrees to help children recover from their losses during the tsunami. While in Indonesia Sienna meets Deni, the most handsome man she's ever met. Sienna and Deni fall in love too quick and soon Sienna would be going home. While with Deni they travel back to Aceh, Deni's hometown. There Sienna sees the damage from the tsunami clearly with mass graves and the death wall.
When Cara's eating disorders get out of hand her adoptive family gets upset. Meg, Cara's half sister, thinks Cara's T2P2 (The Totally Perfect Person) that is until Cara's losing weight and is hiding something. Meg realizes Cara's not the fastest swimmer on the swim team; in fact she's the slowest. Soon Cara's skinny as a skeleton and is never herself. She's taken to the doctors and then quickly admitted to the hospital. While in the hospital she starts eating again but as soon as she gets home she doesn't eat a thing.
