Dracula by Nicky Raven is the abridged version of the classic, Dracula by Bram Stoker. It is a lot shorter, one tenth of the original. On each page are added illustrations, depicting certain scenes in the book. It is written through a narrative, following two main characters, as they live through their encounters with the vampire, Dracula, and his followers. It is very fast pace, compared to the original, and a definite thriller.

Pat Mora's, Dizzy in Your Eyes, is a book of poems about romance and love. There are all types of poems in this book, and at the bottom of the page it tells you what type of poem it is, and how you could write a poem like that. There are poems about a love for swimming, pets, grandparents, sisters, and a boy trying to find a creative way to ask out a girl. Some are about breaking up and peer pressure, and a couple are even in Spanish.

During World War II, June 9, 1942, a Jewish family, the Franks, went into hiding to escape the anti-Jewish laws, harsh treatment, and discrimination of the Jews. Their youngest daughter, Anne, talks about true things in her diary of their life before and after Hitler became dictator. She shares her thoughts on the horrible thrill it was to be hiding in a small space, not being able to even go outside. Her true story had so much in it, suspense on rather they'll live or not, historical context because of the World War II setting, and a small romance.

You've heard of heroes, kings, and Greek myths. Handsome, strong young men, the envy of guys, the want to-be boyfriend of girls, but have you ever wondered what its like to see them all the time, I mean when there's no halo around their head because they just did a great unselfish deed. Because your crazy if you think a cowboy smells good after he's been sitting outside, on his horse, all day, and Robin Hood, is it really too much to ask for you to change clothes every once in a while. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like trying to juggle H. P.
