When Strawberries Bloom, by Linda Byler, is about a girl, Lizzie, who is in the running around stage in her Amish Community. This is the time you turn 16 to the time you get married. Like any teenager she has problems with friends, boys, what she wants to do, and her faith. She has times where she gets jealous of her friends or younger sister for going on dates, while she hasn't been on one herself. But the whole time there has been a guy, Stephan, who has liked her from first sight but Lizzie never paid attention. Also through the story Lizzie is teaching school.
The Wonder of Charlie Anne, by Kimberly Newton Fusco, is about a girl who has to live life with problems she has to overcome. The plot is all the problems she meets on the way. It started off with her mother died and she wasn't over it. Charlie Anne has to live with her cousin, Mirabel, that doesn't really like her and is hard on her. Also she made a friend with Pheobe, a young African American girl, that lives next door.Mirabel doesn't agree with the friendship. There are many other problems that come her way but you have to read the book to know more.

In the book Forget-Her- Nots, Laurel is getting to know more about her and her mothers gift. They have a special sense when it comes to flowers and how to use them for good. The gift has been passed down from generation to generation. On the way she gets in trouble with giving certain flowers to people and that people wanting more and more of the flowers done by her. She gets help from some of her mothers friends and hers. Laurel has some hard times during this book with flowers and other teenager stuff. So read the book to see what happens to Laurel.
