Thrilling and action packed from the first page, this book will not disappoint! Gin Blanco (a.k.a The Spider - a deadly assassin) is trying to keep quiet and under radar, fulfilling her mentor Fletcher Lane's wish - before he was killed - that she quit. But then two men walk into the Pork Pit with the idea that they can rob it - not the best place to try really! Jake McAllister is half giant and the son of big shot lawyer Jonah McAllister. This being the case Gin is none to pleased that her and Sophia ( A Goth dwarf who is her cook/helper in crime) have to fight them. This, along with the arrival of Detective Donovan Caine (who I'm sure everyone will remember from Spider's Bite! ), does not make to a good start to her promise!

Opinion:

This book really does catch your attention straight away. The plot constantly twists and turns; you never know what's around the next bend! Gin's character develops in this book; her hatred for Fletcher's killer is so strong, but her affections for Detective Caine grow stronger, revealing a different side to her. I really love the voice in which this book is written; it is funny and witty, but at the same time strong and bold. Gin as a character is hilarious at times - and a little frustrating at others! Full of action, chase, deception, fighting and a little romance, this book is one for both boys and girls! I can't wait to read Venom - the next book - there are so many things I can't wait to find out!
