Vintage Veronica is about Veronica, a fifteen-and-half year old girl who has learned to live with herself as "fat" and "friendless". This summer, things change. Veronica gets a job at a vintage clothing store, where she works in "Employees Only!". There, she can avoid Bill, who seems to still be in the 70's, Ginger and Zoe, two typical teenage salesgirls, and a helpless but lovable boy, Lenny. These four are always around to make life interesting. In this story of Veronica's coming-of-age, Veronica has to learn to make the right decisions while following her heart.

Opinion:

This story has just the right amount of teenage girls and romance to make it completely realistic. Veronica's problems are not corny, but like problems of other teenage girls. Although it may not start off with much action, the ending is guaranteed to leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. The book has a strong theme at the end, which makes it worth reading. Any fan of love stories and realistic fiction will love this book.
