Stefan Salvatore has come to terms with being a vampire. The events of the past few months have sobered him, and the fog of his own blood lust has begun to lift. After his brother, Damon Salvatore, betrays him in New Orleans, Stefan travels to Manhattan to start over. Vowing to never harm or kill another human again, he feeds off animals to survive. But the quiet life he anticipated is jolted when he runs into his brother Damon, who has convinced New York high society that he is Italian royalty. While Stefan is regaining his humanity, Damon has completely lost his. Damon has splendid plans for Stefan and him, whether Stefan agrees with them or not. Stefan will do whatever it takes to protect Damon from himself. But, Damon isn't the only villan in this novel. A new enemy has appeared and seeks revenge for a death the Salvatore brothers have caused. Stefan and Damon will have to work together to fight the greatest evil yet. Who is this new enemy and why is he after Damon and Stefan? Will Stefan and Damon stop him?

Opinion:

Stefan Diaries: The Craving by L.J Smith is a fantasy fiction book filled with drama, revenge, action, and lies. Stefan is telling the story. I like the fact that it is in first person because it makes the reader ask questions about what is going on and keeps the reader reading just to find out. As I read it, I imagined myself as a character in the novel that didn't really exist but saw everything that happened. I loved how the plot twists and turns. The climax is surprising and perfect. I would've liked to see more character development in Stefan and Damon. I would recommend this to the fans of popular books like The Twilight Saga, Harry Potter, and The Vampire Diaries.
