Trapped on the D.C. Train KC Corcoran is the President of the United States' stepdaughter. She and her best friend, Marshall Li, are going on a train with the Vice President to Lancaster County, PA. At the end of the train is a special car reserved for the Vice President, the kids, and two secret service agents. After leaving the station, the kids decide to explore and while doing so they notice several suspicious characters on the train. When they return from exploring, they find out the Vice President's car has been unhooked! The kids suspect there are several people involved in the crime since there are several suspicious people around, but who exactly? As if this wasn't enough, some of the suspicious people are searching for the kids! Will they get away? Who's behind all this? Most importantly, where is the Vice President?

Opinion:

This book was only eight chapters total. The mystery fit well into the eight chapters, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was longer. Also, the author did not have strong vocabulary. I did enjoy the fact that many character personalities were used and that there were a couple humorous parts throughout the book. This book was recommended for nine to twelve-year-olds, but I recommend it for seven to ten-year-olds.
