After the murder of her mother, Maria is placed in a witness protection program. She is relocated to Scotland, where she takes a job as an au pair. She must cope with her internal emotions and odd behavior at the Harley Estate. Will she find that she's being paranoid for no reason, or is there justification for her fears and insecurities?

Opinion:

This book was an awesome read! It had so many twists that I couldn't see coming, not to mention the suspense that made me turn every page. I love how the author chose Scotland as the setting since it only made the plot more mysterious. I don't usually admire standalone novels, but this one was too interesting to put down! I would definitely recommend this for people who are looking for a good read in the mystery genre.
