This is a story about Sounder who is devoted to his master. This story is also about the father who has to steal to get food for his family and about the rest of his family and how they live through tragedies.

Opinion: 

Sounder is a classic story of the devotion and companionship of a dog for its master.  This heart-warming story is very enjoyable and I highly recommend it to anyone with a pet who is considered part of the family.
