This wonderful book is about a boy named Micheal and his adventures with his Grandfather. Thier adventures start when Grandpa shows Micheal all the rooms in his HUGE house. But after a while Grandpa has to start living with Micheal and his parents because he wasen't able to pay his bills. So one night Micheal heard something in the house. He asked his Grandpa what it was and Grandpa said it was whale songs. So he ended up sleeping with his Grandpa and he realized that he and Grandpa where WHALES in thier dream. So through out the book they go on adventures in dreams but also in reality and if you want to know what those reality adventures are then I suggest you get The Song of the Whales by Uri Orlev!!!!!!!

Opinion:

My opinion of this book is that Uri Orlev got the granfather perfectly. I say this because the grandfather in the book reminds me so much of my grandfathers. For exsample in the book Micheal's grandpa teaches him many useful things like how to fix a bike and not so long ago one of my grandfathers helped me make a stand for two of my collectors coins. Anyway this book is very moving and it seems that Micheal and his family are real pepole. Also I did find the book very interesting but the ending was sad.
