Dara has just escaped from her Shamra homeland after
successfully defending her homeland from the invading
Trocs. After the battle, she was betrayed and forced to flee.
While in the swamp, Dara is struck by a bolt of lightning
and mysteriously transported to Stone Mountain, homeland of
the warrior Shamra. She then meets Briana, whom she has met
before, but only in dreams. Briana too has The Sight. While
hunting the fearsome Fangala in the forest, Briana tells
Dara many tales of her heritage; of Drea, Atyra, Anis, Mya,
Dedra, and many other ancestors of theirs. She also tells
the story behind Chaos, Daras most powerful enemy, after
meeting some of his minions in the forest who were intent
on killing Dara.

Opinion:

I absolutely loved this book! The writing is effective
in a way that makes me remember every detail in this book. I
was disappointed not to have found the first book in my
public library, but I didn't really have to have read it,
to understand the story. The way the author included all of
Briana's tales and made them relevant to the story was
beautifully executed. I always love it when a book has a
prologue, especially if the prologue foreshadows or creates
mystery in the book. Shamra Divided was action-packed at
every turn, and I would recommend this book to anyone! The
author made you feel this book, and to me that makes it
unforgettable! One of the best books that I have read in a
while.
