Chula and her family is poor. Then el Jefe comes and everything changes. El Jefe is there to win money for Chula and her family. Richie is Chula's brother. Hes a big trouble maker and he goes with the wrong group. Later in the story things get worse and el Jefe leaves for good after a terrible fighting match that leds to the death of Golden Gloves. Chula and everyone changes after the fighting match. This book is a must read.

Opinion:

In "Prizefighter En Mi Casa" by e.E. Charlton- Trujillo, the story really brings a person to turn the pages. The characters use slang. Its almost seems like the characters are talking to you. You can never get bored. I really like Chula. She is so real. I mean I can almost hear he talk to me while reading the book. Man the ending was great. El Jefe leaves and Chula changes a lot. It almost seems like she's a different person. I really recommend everyone to read this book. It really gets you thinking.
