LitPick Review
In your own opinion do you think dragons are real? Have you ever felt that no one believes you but you know that it's true? Well, imagine on any regular day you're going to the library and BAMM!! A dragon is flying right to your library.
Wouldn't you probably rub your eyes and say, "Ok. Did that just happen?" The main character in this book, Maria, really wants a book for school, so she goes and looks in the library, but it appears that a dragon "borrowed" the book she wants. She's not the type of person to just give up on the one she wanted and simply look for something else. Actually, it's the total opposite. She asks everyone, "Hey did you see where the dragon went?" Then she asks a lot of different people what she would need to do to catch a dragon.
Well, she's gonna need a sword, bravery, and a person right along side to help her. But will Maria find all those things in time to recover her precious books?
Opinion:
I think everyone would want to be Maria because she's just really brave. Nobody wants to be a chicken. I don't think the author't achieved her purpose because it didn't have good word choice. Sometimes I would ask myself- what am I reading? One thing I did learn from this book is that you've got to keep your dream alive. But how do you do that? Well you just keep going or trying no matter what just like Maria did. I wouldn't recomend this book because there's no adventure or anything catchy.
