Sunny and Rayne's world suddenly comes crashing down when their parents tell them that they are fairies. Then, after a group of fairies, people with wings and magical powers, tries to capture them, they are relocated to Riverdale Academy for slayers, people who kill supernatural creatures. Rayne is getting desperate to get out because without any blood substitute she's finding it hard to deal with her blood lust. After two days they try to get away and are attacked by a group of fairies and Rayne accidentally drinks Corbin's blood. That starts a chain reaction and suddenly she's turned over by a changing, a fairy that takes the place of a person, pretending to be her sister. She's taken to a place on campus called Night School where evil scientists take her blood and get ready to inject it into other slayers to create an elite army. When she gets out, she leads Magnus, Jareth and several other members of the Blood Coven on a daring attempt to rescue Sunny from being married to a fairy, that isn't her boyfriend.

Opinion:

I thought the book was okay. The action in it was good, but I got bored with it. The story seems to slow down when they're at the school and then picks up closer to the end. I liked how there was a semi-love triangle between Corbin, Rayne and Jareth and how when she sees Jareth again she realizes that the love she had with Corbin was fake. That, and the fighting scenes were actually what kept me going in the story. That's why the book seems to me to be alright.
