There's nothing more that Y'Tin wanted to be than an
elephant handler. His parents said he could, but before he
can, he must finish school. During the Vietnam War his
father worked with the United States Special Forces as a
tracker, and after the North Vietnamese attack his
village, he must escape into the jungle with his pregnant
elephant named Lady. He must use his tracking skills to
find his lost villagers, and he must make a life or death
decision for his elephant and her calf.

Opinion:

This was a very adverturous book.  The book started out with some scenes
from the Vietnam war and I really enjoy war books.  I do
not recommend this book to people with a low reading level
because most of the names in this book are hard to
understand. Otherwise, this was an excellent book.
