From an early age, Meridian was always different. Death seemed to follow her in everything she did. But she soon got used to her title as an outcast and thought things were getting better. That is until her sixteenth birthday when she is told by her parents that she is in danger and must leave to live with her great-aunt in Revelation, Colorado. Suddenly, Meridian finds herself on the adventure of her life. She learns that she is a Fenestra, a half-angel, half- human being that ties the living to the dead. It is her role to help those near death have an easy entrance into the afterlife. But there's one problem: a dark group known as the Aternocti want Meridian dead. So Meridian tries to find her place in this chaotic new world with the help of her witty great-aunt, and super cute protector, Tens. Meridian is definitely no longer an outcast, but does she have what it takes to save millions of souls, defeat the Aternocti, continue the legacy of the Fenestra and start a relationship with Tens? With great power comes great responsibility, but can this sixteen year old really accomplish this much? Read to find out!

Opinion:

I absolutely LOVED this novel, Meridian, by Amber Kizer. It grabbed my attention right away and the fast-paced plot kept me on the edge of my seat for hours! This book was so amazing that I read it in one sitting. I love fantasy-fiction novels and this one might be at the top of my list. The story line was original and creative. The characters were easy to connect with and Kizer brought her character to life in wonderful detail. It was suspenseful and fun to read! I enjoyed it in every way! It was even a great romance novel. I can't wait for the sequel to this dark and captivating new series!
