For years, Nick Brandt watched Eden Reiss from the shadows. She was the girl he had always wanted. Now, when he finally gets up the courage to talk to her, his normal world goes up in flames. A mysterious phone call for his father changes everything Nick knew about his family and his fathers previous life. Will this affect Nick's newfound relationship with Eden? What is normal?

Opinion:

I thoroughly enjoyed the book The Lucky Kind. The writing style was very laidback, and it was easily understandable to the reader. The main characters were relatable because of their relationships with each other and the hardships they shared. This really helped the plot of the book because it made it easy to connect with the characters. There was a new twist around every corner, so the plot kept me turning pages. I would suggest this book to people who enjoy romance novels or realistic fiction books and like short, easy reads.

Explain your content rating:

I said this book was for mature readers only because there are quite a few swear words throughout. Also, there are some sexual scenes in the book that are described vividly that may not be appropriate for some younger readers.
