After catching her fiancé cheating on their wedding day and discovering he was a superhero, Carmen Cole is out to uncover the identity of every superhero and ubervillian that crosses her path. That is until Carmen moves to Bigtime, New York. There she indirectly causes the suicide of one of the town's most beloved superheroes. Carmen becomes an outcast in society and the superhero world. Then Carmen is suddenly kidnapped by an ubervillian and told to discover the identity of Striker, the leader of the Fearless Five. Now Carmen must choose to save her own life or betray the superhero she is falling in love with.

Opinion:

I thought the book was absolutely wonderful. The plot and characters were very well developed. I really liked the idea of the dual identity and having to live with those kinds of superpowers. Also, the book was constantly moving and full of suspense, so I could hardly put it down. It was fun to try and discover the identities of the superheroes and ubervillians along with Carmen.
