People always seem to think they are the only ones who speak. Did you know that the jungle dwellers have their own language? A young boy named Mowgli is adopted by wolves and is raised by them. Even though he lives in the jungle and loves his jungle family of animals he still longs to meet a human. But, the evil tiger, Shere-Khan wants to kill him! Will Mowgli live to see what humans are like?

Opinion:

I found this book to be a bit boring. There is a lot of description and very long paragraphs. There is barely any dialogue. The stories were at least a bit interesting. My favorite one was probably either "Mowgli's Brothers" or "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi". The pictures are beautifully drawn in the book. I also like how there is a poem at the beginning and end of every story. Altogether, this book is average. Maybe that's just because I don't care for classics. Just the same, I wouldn't recommend it for the 12 and under age group.
