Soon after hearing the headline "Gold, Gold discovered in Alaska" Jason sets off with many "Klondike's" to find that gold. Jason takes a 5,000-mile journey to get there; the journey is filled with twist and turns. 

Opinion: 

Exciting historical fiction with a good story and a lot of background about the times.  The author really does a great job of presenting the hardships faced by the early gold rushers in Alaska.  This is a great book for boys who like adventures stories.
