Nick Gautier is a teen who lived in the slums of New Orleans. His mom worked as a dancer at a bar and his dad was a career felon. One night his friends decided to mug some tourists and Nick stopped them from doing it. Because of that, the very people he called his friends began mugging him until a strange man showed up and saved his life that time. The next thing he knew some people at his school turned in to zombies and start going after him. He found himself fighting for his life as he tried to figure out what was going on.

Opinion:

I really enjoyed this book, but the prologue really made no sense until the end of the book and it was slow at the beginning. It seemed like the real world except there were myths and fantasy mixed in. There was also a lot of action in it, such as fighting scenes and arguments. The setting was very believable with the myths intertwined. The thing that I liked the most was that it was set in third person point of view, but it kept me in touch with the main character. Overall it was a great read.
