LitPick Review
Jordan and her brothers, Baxter and Robbie, are flying on a small plane, and they crash. Baxter has suffered some wounds in his arm. They all are hungry. They know they are miles away from civilization, so they have to survive on their own. Yet, they are not completely on their own. Hunter, a runaway slave, sees Jordan in his mind, and tries to help her. Whatever Hunter does, Jordan will know that also, like mental telepathy. Hunter sees their problems, and tries to do his best to help them. Yet, at the same time, warriors are near Hunter, and they are trying to capture him for running away. Hunter has to choose between running away and giving up hope of rescuing Jordan and her brothers, or risking being caught, but still saving them. Will Hunter help Jordan and her brothers? Even with his help, will it be enough to save them all?
Opinion:
This book was very fast flowing, and it switched the stories back and forth, between Hunter's problems and Jordan's troubles. This made it confusing for me to read. At some points I even had to go back and reread the latest part to figure out what was happening. This book was still very interesting. New exciting things would happen, and there seemed like hope for Jordan and her brothers. But, then at the next chapter it seems like all is lost again. This book had new problems arising often, and every new problem was exciting to see how they solved the problem. It was also hard to understand some words because often they were the native words.
