Hooked is about a girl named Thea who doesn't really know who she is. She meets a guy named Will and suddenly her life has meaning. After they begin dating Thea becomes pregnant. Everyone expects Thea to get an abortion and she even believes it herself at first. When she changes her mind and decides to keep the baby she doesn't get much support. After the baby, Ian is born, Thea knows who she needs to be, but it's too much for Will to handle. Thea does what is best for her son, but in the end also finds herslef and the person she wants to be.

Opinion:

When I saw the novel Hooked I knew that is exactly how I was going to be: Hooked. I just knew it was going to be a good book. When I began reading the first few chapters, I was a little dissappointed. It was a little slow in the beginning, but once I got to chapter 9 there was no putting this book down. I read this book in less than a day and I wish I could read more. The characters were develpoed so well, and the entire book was written superbly . I recommend this book to any girl who is looking for a good coming of age story. Thea goes from being a silly, immature girl in the beginning of the book to a loving responsible mother in the end of the book. We are only seeing rhe beginning of Catherine Greenman's amazing writing career. Excellent Story! Can't wait to read more!

This book has some sexual references. They aren't too graphic, but it is done for teenagers under the age of 16.
