From the beginning Elowyn and Kassey were best friends,
but when  Elowyn is in a terrible car accident Kassey's
life changes. She doesn't seem to be top notch on her
volleyball team, she starts to hang out with her best
friend's old boyfriend, and she becomes friends with
someone who is very much like Elowyn. In fact, she has her
heart. Arabeth had a bad heart almost her whole life and
now she gets a new one. What she doesn't understand is why
she's talking back to her mother and craving an ice cream
flavor she's never heard of. Then she meet her donor's
family and friends and they seem to be just as confused as
she is.  They don't understand how she could know some of
the stuff she does without even meeting Elowyn, but
because she does they seem to want to be around her. A
story that is told in two perspectives takes you through
Kassey's suffering from the loss of her friend and
Arabeth's excitement with the gain of a new one.

Opinion:

Heart to Heart is a great book that is very addicting to
read. At the end of each chapter there is a cliff hanger,
and that always makes me want to read more. When reading
it, I felt bad for Elowyn's family and Kassey, but was
happy Arabeth could get a new heart and live her life.  I
would recommend this book for middle school and older,
because I'm not sure if younger kids would really
understand . I love the thought of how one heart can bring
two totally different families together. I had a great
time reading Lurlene McDaniels Heart to Heart.
