Ever felt like God has chosen something special for you? Lucero-Elisa de Riqueza, Princess of Orovalle does. At her naming ceremony something very special happened, God placed a stone in her navel. A Godstone is only placed every century. The bearer is destined to greatness. Not every person who received a Godstone has completed their act of service. Which leaves her wondering, will she? Can she look past her figure to see her heart? This is one girl who is destined for greatness, even if she can't see it.

Opinion:

Exciting, suspenseful, characteristic, in other words a good book. For a first novel, it held some very good writing traits. It didn't get boring after three chapters and it kept the suspense going till the very end. Not afraid to kill some main characters, Rae Carson keeps the feelings turning. Only few books make my favorites shelf and this is one of them.
