Fostergirls, by Liane Shaw, is a book about a 15-year-old girl named Sadie. She is currently lived in her 13th group homes since she was a toddler. She has moved from several different ""pseudo families"" and group homes. Sadie doesn't really bond with any of the girls at her current group home. But, at her new school, she meets a girl named Rhiannon. Rhiannon is very talkative and,at first, Sadie doesn't really like her. Then, she starts to like her. There is also Ms. Jackson, a school counselor who tries to help Sadie, but Sadie isn't sure whether or not she is really trying to help. I think she has a hard time trusting people because she is very independent and determined. Will Sadie ever accept Rhiannon as a friend? Is Ms. Jackson really on Sadie's side?

Opinion:

Although Ilike realistic fiction, I didn't think this was an interesting book. I was bored for the most part. This book did not make me anxious to keep reading to see what happens next. I usually read teen fiction. When I chose Fostergirls, I decided to choose something different, but I was disappointed even though I like realistic fiction. Itis written well so I could recommend it to anyone who likes realistic fiction.
