Kevin Pugh is a fat and lazy 12-year-old who doesn't like to do anthing but play video games, eat, watch T.V., and eat some more. He's stuck in a family of sports fanatics, his dad, a retired Chicago Bear, his little sister, a star soccer player, and his mom their schedule keeper. His dog, Cromwell, is anything but active. Kevin likes to say that he is part potato chip, part dog. But when one day Kevin and Cromwell were watching TV as usual, and agility training competition appeared on the TV and inspired Cromwell to be active. How will this new Cromwell affect Kevin's life?

Opinion:

"The Fast and the Furriest" is a perfect example of "Don't judge a book by its cover." The dog on the front cover made me doubt that I would like the book, but once I started reading, I immediatley knew that I had been wrong. I even had my doubts about the title, but again I was wrong about it. I felt bad for ever doubting such a great book. I thought that this book was not only hilarious, but it also had feeling and a great story behind it. People of all ages will really enjoy Andy Behrens, "The Fast and the Furriest."
