This book is about two boys who are in an airplane to go see the Nahanni River. The pilot sets the plane down so that they can get a closer look at the beautiful whitewater falls. Then the engine dies. There is no getting back home and the boys must live by surviving on the natural habitat surrounding them. The boys must have courage to face there every day challenges with no help at all.

Opinion:

I think this book was pretty good. There was a lot of detail about how the boys had to try to survive when they were stranded. I liked both Gabe and Raymond's character traits because they were both very brave in having to face being stranded. They were also both very clever about how they had to try to survive on there surroundings. In some parts of the book it was kind of boring because the author did not give enough suspense about what they had to do to survive. The boys also never gave up on trying to survive and that is a part of what made this book good.
